Fast Break Run 9 | Day 5

Pick 5 Players who will combine for 15 Assists and 15 Rebounds to earn your win.

Overview:

We’ve reached the midway point of this run and there are five days remaining. Of the 2,500+ participants, only 46 are perfect - they’ve also unlocked the mid-tier reward. There are over 450 others who are a win away from the 4-win pack. To qualify for the top tier pack, you will need at least two wins coming into today.

The WNBA playoffs are quickly approaching and each team has between 7-10 games remaining. If you’re unfamiliar with the structure of the WNBA playoffs, the top eight teams make the postseason regardless of conference. The top seven spots are all but locked up at this point, but the last spot is wide open. Both Chicago (8) and Atlanta (9) have lost multiple games in a row and have opened the door for Washington and Dallas to potentially swoop in and claim the final playoff spot.

As we inch closer to WNBA Fast Break Run 10 and potentially a WNBA Playoffs Fast Break Run, be mindful of players on the playoff teams and who you have available. At this point of the season, your collection is likely robust enough to make it through, but adding a couple options here and there may be worthwhile. In the meantime, let’s get into today’s objective.

Today’s Objective:

Fast Break Day 5 requires five (5) players who will distribute 15 or more Assists and accumulate 15 or more Rebounds, which means your lineup will need an average of 3.0 ASTs and 3.0 REBs per player. With only two (2) teams in action, your options are sparse at best and your room for error will likely be marginal. Between the two stats, which are infrequently correlated, assists will be the more challenging. There are a handful of players who are proficient in both stats though.

  • Little of Both: Alyssa Thomas, Brittney Sykes, Marina Mabrey

  • Distributors: Alyssa Thomas, Brittney Sykes, Julie Vanloo, Marina Mabrey

  • Glass Crashers: Alyssa Thomas, DeWanna Bonner, Stefanie Dolson, Aaliyah Edwards, Brionna Jones, Brittney Sykes, DiJonai Carrington, Ariel Atkins, Marina Mabrey, Emily Engstler

Upcoming Objectives:

  • Tomorrow, Points Scored will be the objective and there will be ten teams in action.

  • After today:

    • Twice: Points Scored (PTS)

    • Once: Field Goals Made (FGM), Free Throws Made (FTM), Three Pointers Made (3PM), Assists (AST), Rebounds (REB)

Considerations:

  • There is one day remaining where only two teams are in action (Day 8)

  • Connecticut plays three days in a row (Day 5-7) including one where they are one of two teams in action

  • Day 6 requires 100 Points Scored (only 5 players in action have averaged 20.0 points this season)

  • Minnesota & New York have the least number of games this series (1)

  • Connecticut, Phoenix, Seattle & Washington have the most games remaining (3)

  • Every other team has two (2) games remaining

Statistical Approach:

Top players in projected Assists & Rebounds according to Rotowire, which is available in the table below.

Rewards:

  • Daily Reward: Top 50 each day will receive a Quick Rip pack

  • Milestone Reward: Reach 1, 4, or 7 wins and each tier earns you a pack

  • Run Reward: Place in the top 10 and earn a WNBA Metallic Gold LE pack
