WNBA Fast Break Playoffs Round 1 | Day 3

Pick 5 Players who will combine for 5 Free Throws Made and 5 Three Pointers Made to earn your win.

Overview:

After New York and Las Vegas closed out their first round opponents, we have at most two (2) more days of games this round and the outcomes of the two games today will determine whether there will be a Day 5 during this round. Indiana will be a popular upset pick against Connecticut whereas Minnesota should easily win against Phoenix.

Las Vegas and New York will meet in the WNBA Playoff Semifinals, which is scheduled for September 29th in a best-of-five series in a 2-2-1 format. Most likely, there will be a game scheduled on alternating days, so we could see anywhere between 6-10 games which could mean a return of the 7 win pack. Before we get too far ahead of ourselves though, let’s dive into today’s matchups.

Playoff Matchups:

  • Phoenix (7) @ Minnesota (2)

  • Indiana (6) @ Connecticut (3)

Today’s Objective:

Fast Break Day 3 requires five (5) players who will make 5 or more Free Throws Made and sink 5 or more Three Pointers, which means your lineup will need an average of 1.0 FTM and 1.0 3PM per player. Between the two objectives, Three Pointers will be more challenging to accumulate, but the thresholds for the day are quite low and attainable. Both Connecticut and Minnesota are up 1-0 and have an opportunity to close out their series. If they both succeed, there will be no scheduled on Day 5 (September 26th). Should either Indiana or Phoenix walk away with a win, the series heads back to their home court. Regardless of the outcome, today will be integral to securing the top reward this round.
