NBA Fast Break Run 1 | Day 2

Pick 5 Players who will combine for 130 Points to earn your win.

Overview:

It was a historic Day 1 in the NBA as LeBron & Bronny became the first NBA father-son duo to be in the same lineup. Although the Bronny did not score a point in his debut, his moment has interest in the TopShot marketplace and outperforming some first rounders so far in terms of value. Other winners include about 49% of the Fast Break participants as about 2,700 of the 5,500+ participants walked away with a W after Day 1. As anticipated, Assists were the nemesis to about 51% of lineups. Day 2 may have similar results considering the high threshold that’s required. Although there are 20 teams in action today, the number of players who are projected to score near or above 30 points is limited.

One of the more interesting aspects of Fast Break is the strategy required. With the addition of “average position” in the Run Leaderboard, it is more clear who is ahead on tiebreakers if ties are identical. These incremental updates only adds value to the overall Fast Break experience, which will likely continue to be introduced as the season progresses. Along with an updated pack opening experience, Arcade packs, Flash Challenges, and other adjustments, it will be interesting to see how positive or poor of a season TopShot will have - a season that may prove to be a pivotal moment in their long-term success and longevity.

But that’s a conversation for another day. Now, let’s dive into today’s solo objective.

Today’s Objective(s):

Fast Break Day 2 requires five (5) players who will score 130 or more Points, which means your lineup will need an average of 26.0 PTS per player. With 20 teams in action today, there are many options available. The challenge, though, is finding enough players above or around the threshold to achieve today’s objective. For the second day of a young NBA season, there’s only one (1) player who is projected to exceed the average needed to achieve 130 total points scored - Giannis. There will undoubtedly be players who will outperform their projections and hopefully they’re in your lineup.

  • Scorers: Giannis Antetokounmpo, Stephen Curry, Tyrese Maxey, Trae Young, Donovan Mitchell

Upcoming Objective(s):

  • Tomorrow, there will be eight (8) teams in action and the objective will require 35 field goals made

  • Remaining objectives (after today):

    • 2x: PTS, 3PM, AST, FGM, FTM, REB

    • 1x: PIP, STL, OREB, AST-TO, BLK

Considerations:

  • Least number of games remaining (4): New York

  • Second least number of games remaining (5): Dallas, Miami, Philadelphia, Washington

  • Most number of games remaining (7): Cleveland, Memphis, Portland, Toronto

  • Least number of teams in action (8): Day 2, 8 & 10 (least options; less flexibility)

  • Most number of teams in action (22): Day 7 & 9 (most options; high flexibility)

  • Second most number of teams in action (20): Day 2, 4, 5, 12 (more options; high flexibility)

Statistical Approach:

Top players in projected Points Scored according to Rotowire, which is available in the table(s) below. • Daily Reward: Top 50 each day will receive a pack

  • Milestone Reward: Reach 3, 6, or 9 wins and each tier earns you a pack

  • Run Reward: Place in the top 500 overall

    • Rank 1: Two (2) court side seats to an NBA game
