NBA Fast Break Run 1 | Day 4
Pick 5 Players who will combine for 15 Three Pointers Made and 30 Rebounds to earn your win.
Overview:
We are officially at the quarter mark of this Fast Break run and Day 3 was a good day for 75% of Fast Break participants as wins were plentiful. In reviewing the Run Leaderboard, it is worth noting that the overall rankings are not based on wins primarily, but instead average position per day. If you look at your own standing, you’ll see some participants with more wins sitting behind others with less wins, but higher average position, which is a subtle change. With that said, you’ll want to balance wins (for the win-based rewards) while maintaining a high average position finish.
In total, there are a little under 6,800 participants, which is approaching the all-time high set in last season’s Fast Break and over 2,600 participants have already set their lineup. If you need help mapping out the remainder of your run, I would highly recommend the OwnTheMoment Fast Break Planner as it will take into account your collection. Although this does not set your lineups on TopShot directly, it will offer a tentative blueprint for how you will tackle the remainder of this series.
If you are one of the 4,000 winners on Day 3, let’s keep the momentum going and get another. If you were one the 25% who happen to fall short on Day 3, let’s change your fortunes.
Today’s Objective(s):
Fast Break Day 3 requires five (5) players who will sink 15 or more Three Pointers and accumulate 30 or more Rebounds, which means your lineup will need an average of 3.0 3PM and 6.0 REB per player. There are twenty (20) teams are in action, so you have a large pool of players to choose from, but few players are proficient in both categories. Your best approach is to utilize players who can deliver a high volume of one stat over the other and hope they live up to their expectation and projections.
Steph Curry and Trae Young will be popular players to fill the need on the 3PM side based on their historical output from outside and someone like Andre Drummond will be a popular pick on the REB side given his 12.4 rebounds/game career average and his 13 rebounds in the season opener - especially with Embiid sidelined as it was confirmed he would play in the first three (3) games of the season. Whether you’re going for wins or for the top prizes, you don’t necessarily need to blow today’s objectives out of the water, but ensuring you have enough firepower to crest the thresholds will be important.
