NBA Fast Break Run 1 | Day 5

Pick 5 Players who will combine for 45 Points in the Paint and 25 Assists to earn your win.

Overview:

Four days down, eight days to go in this Fast Break run. On a day where 3PM was an objective, many included Steph Curry in their lineup to carry their bulk of the load, but he was limited to four three pointers for Day 4. Lauri Markkanen was also a popular pick as he normally delivers on both rebounds and 3PM, but he was limited to just one three pointer (but chipped in eight rebounds). LaMelo Ball on the other hand, walked away with a whopping nine (9) three pointers which accounted for over 60% of the target and led many to a win.

The Run Leaderboard appears to have been working improperly yesterday as wins were not the first attribute that was measured, but that has since been remediated. Wins are the primary factor followed by average position (all is right in the world). In total, there are a little under 7,200 participants, which is approaching the all-time high set in last season’s Fast Break and over 2,800 participants have already set their lineup for today.

So long as you have at least one (1) win, you still have a chance at the top reward pack which requires nine wins.

Today’s Objective(s):

Fast Break Day 4 requires five (5) players who will Score 40 Points in the Paint or more and distribute 25 or more Assists, which means your lineup will need an average of 8.0 PIP and 5.0 AST per player. There are twenty (20) teams are in action, so you have a large pool of players to choose from - many of whom will deliver you both objectives.

Between the two, assists will likely be the one that trips up many people. Players like Joker, SGA, Sabonis and LaMelo will be popular picks based on their proficiency with both stat categories. Let’s dive into the projections to see who else you should consider for your lineup.

  • Little of Both: Nikola Jokic, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, LeBron James, Domantas Sabonis, Luka Doncic, Cade Cunningham

Upcoming Objective(s):

  • Tomorrow, there will be ten (10) teams in action and the objective will require 15 Free Throws Made & 3 Assists

  • Remaining objectives (after today):

    • 2x: PTS, AST

    • 1x: STL, OREB, AST-TO, BLK, FGM, 3PM, REB, FTM

Considerations:

  • Least number of games remaining (3): New York & Philadelphia

  • Most number of games remaining (5): Ten (10) teams

  • Least number of teams in action (8): Day 8 & 10 (least options; less flexibility)

  • Most number of teams in action (22): Day 7 & 9 (most options; high flexibility)

  • Second most number of teams in action (20): Day 5 & 12 (more options; high flexibility)
