NBA Fast Break Run 1 | Day 11

Pick 5 Players who will combine for 25 Free Throws Made and 40 Rebounds to earn your win.

Overview:

I’ve been under the weather the past few days. Couple that with some Halloween festivities and it finally caught up with me. But! The show must go on.

We are down to two days in this run and also down to 12 Fast Break participants who remain perfect in this run. Only 25% of yesterday’s participants walked away unscathed as blocks lived up to expectations and posed a formidable challenge for the day. If you had Wemby, you survived as he singlehandedly took care of the blocks objective. Walker Kessler also lived up to his billing and contributed 3 blocks. If you were hoping Brook Lopez, Jaren Jackson, or a couple others to chip in any blocks, you were likely disappointed.

Today will likely be another challenging day based on your player limitations and/or high objective totals. To have a chance at the 9-win target, you will need at least 7 wins under your belt. Of the 8,400 participants in this run, 54 have already secured the top reward and seeking more and 163 others are a win away from the top reward. If you’re pursuing the 6-win pack, you’ll need at least 4 wins to date. Remember, top 500 walks away with monetary rewards to spend on more packs or moments, so it’s worth participating each day.

Between the two objectives today, free throws made will be the more challenging of the two, but you have a few players who have a tendency to draw fouls while hitting the freebies at a high clip (SGA & Trae Young). Rebounds will be the easier of the two, but the high threshold may prove challenging if you don’t have players who can grab 10+ to balance your lineup. There’s only one player who’s projected to exceed both free throws and rebounds - Jayson Tatum. Scroll down to dig into the data.

Today’s Objective(s):

Fast Break Day 11 requires five (5) players who will sink 25 or more Free Throws and gather 40 or more Rebounds, which means your lineup will need an average of 5.0 FTM and 8.0 Rebounds per player. There are eighteen (18) teams in action, so your options are broad but the relatively high thresholds will likely lead to a challenging day overall. These two stats are not usually correlated, but there are players who have a historical tendency to deliver both. Some participants may opt to moneyball vs. relying on players who can deliver in both categories.

  • Little of Both: Jayson Tatum

  • Charity Stripers: Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Trae Young

  • Board Getters: Domantas Sabonis, Anthony Davis, Rudy Gobert, Deandre Ayton, Nikola Jokic, Nikola Vucevic, Jakob Poeltl, Chet Holmgren, Josh Hart, Jalen Duren, Karl-Anthony Towns, Wendell Carter, Jarrett Allen, Evan Mobley, Nick Richards, Jalen Johnson

  • Top Five (5) in Lineups: J. Allen (46%), Z. Williamson (42%), D. DeRozan (38%), D. Sabonis (33%), K. Towns (32%)

Upcoming Objective(s):

  • Tomorrow, there will be 20 teams in action and the objective will require 130 Points

  • Remaining objectives (after today): PTS

Considerations:

  • Dallas has no more games this series

  • Nine (9) are playing back-to-backs on Day 11 & 12 (reference the Grid below)

Statistical Approach:

Top players in projected Free Throws Made & Rebounds according to Rotowire, which is available in the table(s) below. Overall rank is based on daily projections, season projections, and ranks amongst peers for each objective. Last 10 and season averages will be incorporated as the season progresses. Omission of certain players would be based on injuries at the time of data pull and/or no moments available.

Rewards:

  • Daily Reward: Top 50 each day will receive a pack

  • Milestone Reward: Reach 3, 6, or 9 wins and each tier earns you a pack

  • Run Reward: Place in the top 500 overall

    • Rank 1: Two (2) court side seats to an NBA game

    • Rank 2-500: Spendable credit at varying values
