NBA Fast Break Run 2 | Day 1
Pick 5 Players who will combine for 25 Assists to earn your win.
Overview:
Long time no see! Just as we wrap up an exciting Fast Break run, we are met with a fresh series which has many familiar elements, but with a few changes compared to Run 1. First off, the similarities. We have the same number of days (12), the same win-based tiers (3, 6 & 9), but different reward structure. The daily top 50 are Fast Break packs, top two packs are Arcade packs, and top pack is a Fast Break pack. The top reward is no longer two (2) court side seats, but instead two (2) tickets to an NBA game PLUS airfare and hotel for two. Although court side seats are eye-catching, I believe this is (in my opinion) equally enticing - especially for those who do not live near a city with an NBA team or who would want to travel to see another NBA team. Also, instead of the top 500 earning some credits to spend, the top 200 in Run 2 will earn some monetary benefits.
As for this run, the first two days are straightforward and only have a single objective, but Day 2 requires 150 points instead of the 130 points from Run 1. This isn’t the first time we’ve seen this high threshold and it is achievable based on the way scorers have been scoring this season, but it shrinks the room for error considerably as that would require 30.0 points per player. The good news, though, is every team is playing so you have plenty of options. This run also introduces a new stat category we haven’t seen before - fouls drawn, which [checks notes] should be interesting to quantify.
For today, we are limited to six (6) teams in action, but the objective is reasonable as 25 Assists are needed. We have players like Trae Young and Luka Doncic who are averaging about 10 Assists per game. From there, it drops off a bit but still above the necessary threshold to achieve today’s objective. With eleven more days in this run, it would be prudent for your long-term success to plan out the rest of this run using resources available to you while being prepared to adjust your plans as injuries arise (which appears to be a trend this season). Let’s dive into today’s objective.
Today’s Objective(s):
Fast Break Day 1 requires five (5) players who will distribute 25 or more Assists, which means your lineup will need an average of 5.0 AST per player. There are only six (6) teams in action, so your options are limited, but it’s a fresh Fast Break series so you have free use of any player in your collection.
