Fast Break Run 8 | Day 6
Pick 5 Players who will combine for 25 Field Goals Made and 30 Field Goals Attempted to earn your win.
Overview:
We are past the half way mark through this WNBA Fast Break run and there are over 2,600 participants who have submitted at least one lineup. Of this group, only 32 remaining participants who are a perfect 5 of 5. To have a chance at the 7-win pack, you will need at least two (2) wins so far but you’d have no room for error the rest of the way. Any more than two wins and you have some flexibility, but if you have 0-1 wins then your top pack possible will be the 4-win iteration. It becomes more challenging from the remainder of Run 8 as four of the remaining five days have 4 or less teams in action (only two on Day 7.
Today’s Objective:
Fast Break Day 5 requires five (5) players who will accumulate 25 or more Field Goals Made and 30 or more Field Goals Attempted, which means your lineup will need an average of 5.0 FGM and 6.0 FGA scored per player. Field Goals Made will be the objective that will likely determine whether you win or lose today.
As these two stats are correlated, players who shoot often will likely have the most makes:
Tier 1: A’ja Wilson, Kahleah Copper, Napheesa Collier
Tier 2: Kelsey Plum, Jackie Young, Rhyne Howard, Diana Taurasi, Kayla McBride
Tier 3: Allisha Gray, Tina Charles, Natasha Cloud, Brittany Griner
If you have A’ja, Napheesa, and/or Kahleah, they could single-handedly get you a third or more of the needed stats on any given night. Tier 2 or Tier 3 are serviceable options, but an off night could throw your lineup into a spiral. Anyone beyond that and it’s a crap shoot.
Upcoming Objectives:
Tomorrow, Points Scored & Free Throws Made will be the objectives and there will be two teams in action.
Remaining objectives after today:
Twice: Free Throws Made (FTM)
Once: Field Goals Made (FGM), Points Scored (PTS), Three Pointers Made (3PM), Assists (AST), Rebounds (REB)
Considerations:
Seattle has no games remaining for the rest of Run 8
Indiana & Washington only have one (1) game remaining
Las Vegas & Minnesota have three (3) remaining games
The other seven (7) teams have two (2) games remaining
Day 6-10 Stretch: Four of the last five games will have 4 or less teams in action
Day 7 (tomorrow): Only two teams are in action (Dallas & New York)
