NBA Fast Break Run 2 | Day 6

Pick 5 Players who will combine for 35 Points in the Paint and 10 Offensive Rebounds to earn your win.

Overview:

After the dust settled on a packed Day 5, 46% of lineups produced a win and we are down to 54 of 7,100+ who are 5 of 5 in this series. Of the top 5 players who were utilized yesterday, Durant (46%) & Ingram (40%) failed to reach the needed threshold with the later chipping in a dismal 4 field goals. On the other end of the spectrum, Jaren Jackson Jr. was the superstar of the day, contributing 14 field goals. Other players who delivered 10 or more field goals included Joker, ANT, SGA, Giannis, Tatum, Doncic, Kyrie, Siakam, LaMelo, Ice Trae, KAT, Cam Thomas, Herro, Powell, Fox, & AD. Field Goals will be an objective one more time this run, but it’ll be on Day 11 when only Utah and Dallas are in action.

At this point of Run 2, at least two (2) wins gives you an opportunity at the top pack reward, but you would need four (4) to be on pace to place in the top 200. For those of you who have a predominantly common lineup, you likely aren’t feeling the squeeze of unavailable players just yet, but you will likely feel it sooner rather than later if you don’t plan ahead. If you haven’t tried out the OwnTheMoment Fast Break Planner, you’re missing out on a great free resource which considerably simplifies the lineup planning process. Also, if you happen to own a Jolly Joker NFT, you will have access to the gated resources this site offers for both NBA Top Shot and NFL All Day. This is not a paid endorsement. I use these resources myself and find great value in what they offer. Speaking of value, let’s dive into today’s stats to see which players can give you value in your lineup.

Today’s Objective(s):

Fast Break Day 6 requires five (5) players who will score 35 or more Points in the Paint and grab 10 or more Offensive Rebounds, which means your lineup will need an average of 7.0 PIP and 2.0 OREB per player. There are only 8 teams in action today, but there are a handful of players who have shown this season that they can deliver both of these objectives. Between the two objectives, offensive rebounds will be the more cumbersome

  • Little of Both: Jakob Poeltl, Ivica Zubac

  • Picassos: Victor Wembanyama, Ivica Zubac, Jakob Poeltl, Nikola Vucevic, RJ Barrett, Jarrett Allen, Evan Mobley, Cam Thomas, Jalen Johnson, Donovan Mitchell

  • Offensive Glass: Jakob Poeltl, Clint Capela, Ivica Zubac, Jarrett Allen, Walker Kessler

  • Top Five (5) in Lineups: I. Zubac (77%), J. Poeltl (76%), J. Allen (74%), N. Claxton (34%), N. Vucevic (30%)

Upcoming Objective(s):

  • Tomorrow, 5 Blocks & 5 Steals are needed and there are 22 teams in action

  • After today, here are the remaining objectives:

    • 2x: AST

    • 1x: BLK, STL, Fouls Drawn, 3PA, PTS, FTM, 3PM, REB, FGM

Considerations:

  • Atlanta, Brooklyn, Cleveland, & LA Clippers are playing the tail end of a back-to-back

  • Least number of games remaining (2): Charlotte & Denver

  • Most number of games remaining (4): 16 Teams

  • Day 11 only has two teams in action (DAL & UTA) - their last game of this run

  • Charlotte’s last game of this run will take place on Day 9

  • Boston, Milwaukee, & Portland’s last game of this run will take place on Day 10

  • Day 8, & 11 all have less than or equal to 10 teams in action

  • Day 7, 9, 10, & 12 all have 20 or more teams in action

Statistical Approach:

Top players in projected Points in the Paint & Offensive Rebounds according to Rotowire, which is available in the table(s) below. Overall rank is based on daily projections, last 10 games, and rest of season projections, which stack ranked amongst peers for each objective. Although 10 games have not been played, all teams have played between 6-9 games so the sample size is relevant. As the season progresses, true Last 10 will be incorporated. Omission of certain players would be based on injuries at the time of data pull.

Rewards:

  • Daily Reward: Top 50 each day will receive a pack

  • Milestone Reward: Reach 3, 6, or 9 wins and each tier earns you a pack

  • Run Reward: Place in the top 200 overall

    • Rank 1: Two (2) tickets to an NBA game including airfare and hotel

    • Rank 2-200: Spendable credit at varying values

Tome Society’s Fast Break Line-Up (Commons Only Challenge):

Many Fast Break participants do not have an extensive collection of rare or legendary moments, so they are limited to single use commons. Even with a limited lineup, participants have found a way to reach the maximum rewards. Follow along as Tome Society participates in Fast Break without using any player more than once - in both our success and failures.

Day 5 ended with our 4th win and gets us one step closer to the top pack. Objective is 6 wins so we’re two wins away, but stretch goal is 9 which remains a possibility.
