NBA Fast Break Run 3 | Day 1

Pick 5 Players who will combine for 25 Assists and 35 Rebounds to earn your win.

Overview:

Welcome back to Fast Break! Run 3 kicks off after a lengthy 24 hour hiatus. We’ve all been there - single point losses are painful, but Fast Break Run 2 felt like a higher than normal volume of tight losses. There were over 8,100 participants, which matches the number of Fast Break participants in the previous run. With the slight adjustment of the top reward to being specific to the NBA Cup Finals in Las Vegas, it’ll be left to be seen whether the number of participants will rise or will continue in this range. With the inevitable rise of interest in Fast Break, the difficulty in placing in the top 200 will become more and more difficult. Until then, continue to put your best foot forward, plan ahead, and maximize your opportunities for wins. Speaking of which, let’s dive into today’s objectives.

Today’s Objective(s):

Fast Break Day 1 requires five (5) players who will distribute 25 or more Assists and gather 35 or more Rebounds, which means your lineup will need an average of 5.0 AST & 7.0 REB per player. There are a number of players who can help you accumulate both objectives, but plan ahead to determine whether certain players would be more valuable on another day - especially if your collection limits your uses.

  • Little of Both: Domantas Sabonis, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Luka Doncic, LeBron James

  • Distributors: Luka Doncic, LaMelo Ball, Domantas Sabonis, Giannis Antetokounmpo, LeBron James, Brandon Ingram, Chris Paul

  • Glass Crashers: Domantas Sabonis, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Victor Wembanyama, Anthony Davis, John Collins, Jakob Poeltl, Luka Doncic, Moussa Diabate

  • Top Five (5) Players in Lineups: D. Sabonis (97%), L. James (90%), L. Doncic (48%), G. Antetokounmpo (42%), C. Paul (38%)

Upcoming Objective(s):

  • Tomorrow, 130 points scored will be the single objective with 20 teams in action

  • Objectives after Today:

    • 3x: 3PM, PTS

    • 2x: AST

    • 1x: FGM, PIP, OREB, FGA, FTM, BLK, STL, AST-TO, REB

Considerations:

  • Teams with the most number of games remaining (7): Charlotte, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Indiana, LA Clippers, & Utah

  • Teams with the least number of games remaining (5): Boston, Cleveland, Miami, Minnesota, Oklahoma City, Philadelphia, & Phoenix

  • LA Lakers, New Orleans, Sacramento, San Antonio, & Toronto are playing the tail end of a back-to-back

  • Day 6 has the least number of teams in action (8)

  • Day 2 & 12 have 20 or more teams in action

  • Day 11 is the always volatile and difficult to predict Assists minus Turnovers objective

  • Five of the twelve days have a single objective, which are more straightforward

  • The obscure “Fouls Drawn” objective does not make an appearance this run, but it could come back in the future

  • There are no 150 Points Scored days, but 130 Points Scored are needed on Day 2, 7, & 12

Tome Society’s Fast Break Line-Up (Commons Only Challenge):

Under Construction…

Many Fast Break participants do not have an extensive collection of rare or legendary moments, so they are limited to single use commons. Even with a limited lineup, participants have found a way to reach the maximum rewards. Follow along as Tome Society participates in Fast Break without using any player more than once - in both our success and failures.

We finished Run 2 with eight (8) wins and came up short of the third tier rewards. With a limited collection and only commons, six (6) wins is the target, but nine (9) is the stretch goal.
