Fast Break Run 8 | Day 4

Pick 5 Players who will combine for 20 Assists and 7 Three Pointers Made to earn your win.

Overview:

We are about a third of the way through this run and there are over 2,400 participants with 162 remaining participants who are a perfect 3 of 3. Anyone with zero wins (or are setting a lineup for the first time this run) still has a chance at the top prize which requires 7 wins, but there is no room for error. With the last day of the WNBA Season about a month away, there will likely be 3-4 more WNBA Fast Break runs before the end of the season. October 20th is the last possible WNBA Finals date, which is two days before the 2024-2025 NBA Season on October 22nd, so NBA Fast Break will begin shortly after the WNBA season comes to a close.

If you’ve been paying attention to Rare and Legendary values, you’ll noticed values have dropped since the conclusion of the NBA Finals. Now is a great time to bolster your NBA Fast Break lineups with low cost stat stuffers. With two months until then, we have plenty of games left in the 2024 WNBA Season.

Today’s Objective:

Fast Break Day 4 requires five (5) players who will accumulate 20 or more Assists and 7 Three Pointers Made, which means your lineup will need an average of 4.0 AST and 1.4 3PM scored per player.

As these two stats are often correlated, there will be players who help you achieve both targets:

  • Little of Both: Caitlin Clark, Kelsey Plum, Jackie Young

  • Distributors: Skylar Diggins-Smith, Natasha Cloud, Alyssa Thomas, Aari McDonald, Chelsea Gray

  • Outside Shooters: Marina Mabrey, Diana Taurasi, Kelsey Mitchell, Rhyne Howard, Kahleah Copper, Jewell Loyd, DeWanna Bonner, Sophie Cunningham, Allisha Gray, Tyasha Harris

In general, you have a wide range of options today considering the eight (8) teams in action. After today though, four of the remaining six games will feature four or less teams each day. Today and Day 8 will have the most flexibility. One approach to consider is to set your next lineups first and then come back to today and see who you have remaining. Although you don’t want to set a lineup full of second tier players as that would decrease your chances of a win, you also have more flexibility today than you will later in this series.

Upcoming Objectives:

  • Tomorrow, Rebounds & Blocks will be the objective and there will be six teams in action.

  • Remaining objectives after today:

    • Twice: Rebounds (REB), Field Goals Made (FGM), Free Throws Made (FTM)

    • Once: Blocks (BLK), Field Goals Attempted (FGA), Points Scored (PTS), Three Pointers Made (3PM), Assists (AST)

Considerations:

  • Connecticut, Los Angeles & Las Vegas have four (4) games remaining and each are in action today

  • Los Angeles, Las Vegas & Chicago are each playing a 2nd game in a row

  • Indiana & Seattle only have two (2) games remaining

    • Seattle plays a back-to-back (starting today) and will have their last game of this run tomorrow

  • Day 5-10 Stretch: Four of the last six games will have 4 or less teams in action

  • Day 7: Only two teams are in action (Dallas & New York)

Statistical Approach:

Rewards:

  • Daily Reward: Top 50 each day will receive a Quick Rip pack (previously it was top 25)

  • Milestone Reward: Reach 1, 4, or 7 wins and each tier earns you a pack

  • Run Reward: Place in the top 10 and earn a WNBA Metallic Gold LE pack
