Fast Break Run 9 | Day 1

Pick 5 Players who will combine for 80 Points Scored to earn your win.

Overview:

Welcome to a fresh edition of WNBA Fast Break! It feels like only yesterday where we completed Run 8. Oh, how time flies. Anyway, Run 9 has the same win tiers as the previous iteration, but it has one less day to achieve it which means your room for error is thinner by a day. With that in mind, your proactive planning will go a long way to maximizing your collection. Alternatively you could play it day-by-day and set your lineups by mixing and matching. Either way, let’s start today off with a win.

Today’s Objective:

Fast Break Day 1 requires five (5) players who will score 80 or more Points, which means your lineup will need an average of 16.0 Points Scored per player. It’s a fresh start so your options are broad considering there are six (6) teams in action today.

  • Bucket Getters: Kahleah Copper, Jewell Loyd, Sabrina Ionescu, Breanna Stewart, Kelsey Mitchell, Nneka Ogwumike, Caitlin Clark

Upcoming Objectives:

  • Tomorrow, Rebounds & Three Pointers Made will be the objectives and there will only be two teams in action.

  • After today:

    • Thrice: Rebounds (REB)

    • Twice: Points Scored (PTS), Three Pointers Made (3PM), Assists (AST)

    • Once: Points in the Paint (PiP), Offensive Rebounds (OREB), Blocks (BLK), Field Goals Made (FGM), Free Throws Made (FTM), Assists minus Turnovers (AST-TO)

Considerations:

  • There are three days where only two teams are in action (Day 2, 5 & 8)

  • Day 3 requires Points in the Paint & Assists minus Turnovers, which is always volatile

  • Connecticut plays three days in a row (Day 5-7) including one where they are one of two teams in action

  • Day 6 requires 100 Points Scored (only 5 players in action have averaged 20.0 points this season)

  • Minnesota & Los Angeles only have the least number of games this series (3)

  • Indiana, Phoenix, Seattle & Washington have the most games this series (5)

Statistical Approach:
