NBA Fast Break Run 2 | Day 8
Pick 5 Players who will combine for 20 Assists and 20 Rebounds to earn your win.
Overview:
Including today, there are five (5) days remaining in this volatile run. Run 2 has had a common theme of being elusive on any given night and Day 7 was no different as 60% of the lineups came up short of the 5 blocks & 5 steals objective. Of the 16 who were perfect yesterday, only 5 walked away with their 7th win of this run and puts them at the forefront of the top overall prize. There is a possibility that one of the remaining five continues their hot streak and goes 12 for 12, but based on the way this run has progressed, there is a higher chance that someone with a less than 100% win percentage will walk away victorious overall. That means if you currently have six wins, you are likely still in the running and are in good position to secure a top 200 as a consolation.
On Day 7, multiple players contributed in the clutch and carried many lineups across the finish. Jordan Poole was the most noticeable dud as he was used in over 31% of lineups, but generated no steals or blocks. However, if you used the other four most commonly used players (Lopez (0 STL, 3 BLK), Adebayo (1 STL, 3 BLK), Turner (1 STL, 2 BLK), & Jaren Jackson (3 STL, 0 BLK)), you still would’ve cleared Day 7’s objective. For Day 8, you’ll have plenty of players to choose from who have a history of delivering a high output of assists & rebounds. There’s a reason why Sabonis is included in over 85% of lineups (as of this article) as he is averaging 7 assists & 13 rebounds per game this year. If he lives up to those expectations, that would cover over 33% of the assists & 65% of the rebounds needed. There are additional players who can deliver a similar stat line, so there should be a much higher success rate than we’ve seen the past few days. Keep in mind overall standings are based on two factors: 1) total wins and 2) average daily ranking. If you have a stretch goal of landing in the top 200, this detail will be relevant toward that outcome. With that said, there are no off days so be sure you’re filling your lineups with today and the end goal in mind.
Today’s Objective(s):
Fast Break Day 8 requires five (5) players who will distribute 20 or more Assists and accumulate 20 or more Rebounds, which means your lineup will need an average of 4.0 AST and 4.0 REB per player. There are 10 teams in action today so your options are limited, but the relatively low threshold makes for an achievable set of objectives - note that all five games start at the same time, so you will not have an opportunity to swap players out after 8:00PM ET | 12:00AM UTC. There are multiple players in action today who have a tendency to stuff the stat sheet for these two categories and there are others who are proficient in one or the other. Whether you choose the dual threat, moneyball it with specialists, or a mixture of both will be up to you. So long as the players live up to their expectations, many should end the day with a green notification.

Statistical Approach:
Top players in projected Assists & Rebounds according to Rotowire, which is available in the table(s) below. Overall rank is based on daily projections, last 10 games, and rest of season projections, which stack ranked amongst peers for each objective. Although 10 games have not been played, all teams have played between 7-10 games so the sample size is relevant. As the season progresses, true Last 10 will be incorporated. Omission of certain players would be based on injuries at the time of data pull.
