NBA Fast Break Run 3 | Day 6

Pick 5 Players who will combine for 25 Assists and 25 Field Goal Attempts to earn your win.

Overview:

We are approaching the midway point of this run with five days completed and there are over 7,300 participants who have set at least one lineup during this series. Day 5 was the most successful day of this run (so far) as over 85% secured a win, but I would anticipate the percentage of winners today to be much less as Assists are one of the more challenging targets to hit - especially on days where there are limited games (like today). Surprisingly, the number of perfect participants dropped by about 15 people which may have partially been due to today’s Fast Break Dud of the Day, Nikola Vucevic who was used in 44% of lineups and delivered 1 offensive rebounds & 4 points in the paint. On the other end of the spectrum, the Fast Break Stud of the Day was Ivica Zubac who was utilized in 76% of lineups and contributed 8 offensive rebounds (80% of today’s objective) and 16 points in the paint (36% of today’s objective). Yes, Giannis had a massive day with his 32 points in the paint, but offensive rebounds were the make or break stat yesterday, so the award goes to the Clipper. It’s worth noting that both Zubac’s rare is priced at a reasonable $25 and is worth the double play if you don’t own his rare already.

Speaking of moments and if you have not done so already, don’t forget to claim your free NBA TopShot x NBA ID Pack which comes with five (5) moments. Also, don’t forget that you can complete the live challenge by burning ten (10) moments you don’t want/need in exchange for a Grail Seeker pack, which will be delivered after November 25th.

Tome+ subscribers, the weekly update for Witty’s Player Targets has been updated. Depending on your areas of improvement, there are some quality players available at reasonable prices. You can search overall, by specific stats, and by rare vs. legendary. Note that as the season progresses and more moments become available, the total rare/legendary in circulation goes up, which could bring down prices. Case in point - Anthony Davis who had a new Rare join the 2024-2025 Denied Set which you can scoop for about the same as Zubac’s Rare (also worth it if you don’t already have AD’s Rare). If you had to pick one, I’d lean toward AD since he has more versatility across more objectives. Enough chatter about moments - let’s dive into today’s projections.

Today’s Objective(s):

Fast Break Day 6 requires five (5) players who will distribute 25 or more Assists and take 25 or more Shot Attempts, which means your lineup will need an average of 5.0 AST & 5.0 FGA per player. Today has two objectives that are not directly correlated, but there are plenty of players who contribute to both stat lines. Assists will be the more challenging of the two objectives considering you would need to go well out of your way to miss the FGA goal.

There are four (4) players who are projected to exceed five (5) assists and field goal attempts and have achieved these targets over their past 10 games: Cade Cunningham, LaMelo, CP3, and LBJ. The focal point of today should be assists as FGA shouldn’t be an issue.

  • Little of Both: Cade Cunningham, LaMelo Ball, Chris Paul, LeBron James

  • Distributors: Cade Cunningham, LaMelo Ball, Chris Paul, LeBron James

  • Shooters Shoot: Anthony Edwards, LaMelo Ball, Cade Cunningham, Julius Randle, RJ Barrett, LeBron James, Franz Wagner, Anthony Davis, Lauri Markkanen, Brandon Miller, Miles Bridges, Keldon Johnson, Scottie Barnes, Jalen Suggs, Collin Sexton, Jaden Ivey, Tobias Harris, Gradey Dick

  • Top Five (5) Players in Lineups: C. Cunningham (75%), R. Barrett (57%), C. Paul (49%), F. Wagner (38%), A. Reaves (38%)

Upcoming Objective(s):

  • Tomorrow, 130 points scored will be the objectives and 16 teams are in action

  • Objectives after Today:

    • 2x: PTS, 3PM

    • 1x: FTM, BLK, STL, AST-TO, REB, AST

Considerations:

  • Teams with the most number of games remaining (4): 19 Teams

  • Teams with the least number of games remaining (2): Cleveland, Oklahoma City, & Phoenix

  • Orlando is the only team playing the tail end of a back-to-back

  • Day 12 have 20 or more teams in action

  • Day 11 is the always volatile and difficult to predict Assists minus Turnovers objective

  • Five of the remaining seven days have two objectives

Statistical Approach:

Top players in projected Assists & Field Goal Attempts according to Rotowire & NBA.com, which is available in the table(s) below. Overall rank is based on daily projections, last 10 games, and rest of season projections, which stack ranked amongst peers for each objective. When there is a single objective, the three data points are still used to stack rank the players vs. ranking solely on projections. For tome+ subscribers, projected rest-of-season stats are available in the provided data file. Omission of certain players would be based on injuries at the time of data pull.
